Dan has been playing bass for over twenty years. He started his musical journey on an acoustic guitar he got for Christmas one year, but things really took off once he got his hands around a bass.

Although he took lessons for a brief time from an accomplished local musician by the name of Josh Rome, he is primarily self-taught. His early experiences as a musician included various high school bands, including the short-lived Dayan, and the unnamed Casey, Dan, and Dan project. In that time he was a performer, instrument tech, and even the light show designer for a marquee event at his high school.

Since the high school days, Dan has played in bands including Plugnugget, The Only, and Placeholder. He even sat in on a practice session with Green Apple Quick Step. Black Sevens, however, is and always will be his first and foremost band.

Dan primarily plays Ibanez and Ampeg gear, and dreams of one day being a sponsored artist for either brand.
